FAQ

How do I make an appointment?

Just give us a call at: 973-533-0542 and our staff will accommodate you as soon as possible.

What is the first step?

You will see a gynecologist and she will establish how many weeks of pregnancy you are. The procedures are then scheduled accordingly as directed by the gynecologist.

How long will I be at North Jersey Center?

Your whole visit to us will be approximately 2 hours. We recommend that you have someone drive you and pick you up from the designated facility.

How long do I need to recover?

You will need one day to have the procedure and recover from the procedure.

Will the procedure hurt or be painful?

No, the procedures are painless. Anesthesia is administered by a board certified anesthesiologist. Since it is done in an outpatient surgical center, it is a very safe procedure. We have experienced nurses and anesthesiologists in our private surgical center.

How long is the actual procedure?

The entire procedure takes less than 45 minutes.

Do I need parental and consent of my spouse to have an abortion?

NJ Law does not require consent for or notification. However, involving your parents, spouse or friend may be beneficial to you in making the right decision but it is your choice.

What are your payment policies?

Most insurance carriers will pay for abortion services. The financial arrangements will be worked out with our administrators prior to the schedule procedure.

A medical abortion can be done in the first or second trimester of pregnancy
A surgical abortion is done with a light general anesthesia
